Sarah,
Your information is just top notch. One of the biggest question I get from customers and businesses is how do I learn to setup the blog and manage my own information without having to hire a Webmaster.
Your straightforward help is really on target, and I’m going to be referring your information to all my clients

Fantastic Tutorial! |
Dear Fellow Blogger,
I know what it's like...
You want to start a blog but you don't know where to begin. It all looks so confusing. All the advice you get is contradictory, and everywhere you go the language looks like it's written by the nerd in the corner of the tech class!
That's what I found when I wanted to start my first blog. Every website that I visited was riddled with jargon and all the explanations seemed to assume that you know what they're talking about in the first place...
It was very (very!) frustrating. I wanted to build a nice, professional blog for my business but I couldn't find any reliable advice on just how to get started.
What I actually discovered was that most of the documentation is written by programmers for programmers. You have to be an insider to know just what they're talking about.
But hey, I'm a programmer myself, and I'm supposed to know about this stuff! I wasted a great deal of time going round and round in circles. I couldn't break through all the acronyms and geek-speak and confusing terminology.
So, I had to delve in and find out for myself just what it needed to get started on a blog.
I chose to start with WordPress because I'd been told that it is the most powerful and flexible blogging platform. And once I'd got through the veneer of jargon and tech-speak I found that WordPress is indeed a blogging goldmine. There is just so much potential in WordPress that I would be happy to recommend it to anyone who wanted to build a stylish, workable blog.
And let me tell you straight away that starting a blog is actually not that difficult IF you learn from someone who knows what they're doing.
That's me. I can help you get started with blogging!
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Sarah McHarry and I am a computer programmer turned blogger turned teacher. Although I am a techie at heart (and have been so for more years than I care to admit!) I also know how to communicate. This means that I know how to explain technical topics clearly, both written and verbal, in plain, simple English.
I enjoy cutting through the jargon and breaking down the barriers that prevent too many people from making full use of the technology of blogging.
Want to see a preview of what's in my tutorial? Before you go any further, please take a couple of minutes to view my short video which will show you exactly what this tutorial is all about:
In my video tutorial I build an actual, real-life WordPress blog,
step by step, starting from scratch and finishing with a fully-functioning blog,
on its own domain, and in its own hosting account in just over two hours...
And you can follow along with me as I do it!
Think how much time this will save you. You won't have to scrabble around, trying to find your way through all the jargon and tech-speak. I explain everything clearly, setting out step by step what you need to do. You won't get lost up any blind alleys - you'll know what to do at every stage and you'll learn quickly because you'll avoid time-wasting diversions.
The tutorial consists of twelve videos of between 5 - 15 minutes each, plus an accompanying workbook. In my video tutorial you will learn:
